Djanogly Learning Trust hosted an afternoon of professional development for all staff across the trust.

The afternoon gave teams a chance to plan for the forthcoming term, reflect on adversity and shine in the face of choice.

The event began with a welcome from CEO Liz Anderson, in a theatre of 460 staff, across 8 academies throughout Nottingham and Derbyshire.

Liz Anderson celebrated the dedication and commitment of every staff member through the results children across the trust were achieving. In areas where social deprivation levels were above national averages.

Celebrating Djanogly success led into the introduction to the guest speaker Jaz Ampaw-Farr.

Jaz Ampaw-Farr led an inspirational talk on facing adversity, challenge and celebrating those who recognise and nurture growth.

An afternoon was concluded with ordinary people doing extra-ordinary things by giving all children in our care the opportunity to be their best, with education being the door to open any path.

Fully supporting Djanogly’s core value; education and children are truly at the heart of everything we do.
