Djanogly Northgate Academy leaders have been praised for running a vibrant and diverse school where all pupils are happy and enjoy their learning.
Inspectors have confirmed that Djanogly Northgate Academy continues to be a good school in a new report published on 14th September 2023.
The school on Suez Street in New Basford, has around 404 pupils aged 3 to 11.
Viv Watson, Interim Headteacher, Djanogly Northgate Academy, said: “We are a school where everyone is valued.
“We are delighted that ethos and commitment to our pupils, staff and the local community has been strongly recognised, and that we have retained our Ofsted good grading.”
The school has been praised by inspectors for working hard to support the community and keeping pupils safe.
The report highlights that ‘leaders and teachers warmly welcome parents into the school’ and work hard to ‘make sure the many pupils who arrive new to the school across the year get off to a good start.’
Leaders provide a broad, interesting and well sequenced curriculum, the report states, and have high expectations of pupil behaviour and attitudes to learning.
Leaders have prioritised reading. Pupils also take part in a wide range of opportunities including community projects.
Pupils, inspectors found, including those with special educational needs and disabilities, concentrate well on their learning in lessons.
The report also highlights that there is good support for pupils with special educational needs and disabilities, and they achieve well.
The report adds that arrangements for safeguarding are effective, pupils feel safe and behaviour across the school is good and lessons are calm and orderly.
Mark Mallender, Chief Executive Officer, Djanogly Learning Trust, added: “It is fantastic to see Djanogly Northgate Academy providing a good education for pupils that supports them to value learning and have high aspirations.
