Embed Inclusive Practices

All Djanogly Academies will provide calm, safe, and supportive environments for all pupils. Staff will be offered continuous professional development opportunities to enhance their understanding and implementation of inclusive leadership.

Shared Ownership

Every staff member will take ownership and leadership of supporting SEND pupils. New SENCOs will undergo a comprehensive induction to ensure consistent processes and collaborative support across DLT.

Trust-Wide Collaboration

Further networks and opportunities for wider collaboration will be embedded, fostering a culture of shared knowledge and best practices. All DLT academies will be fully compliant with relevant policies and procedures.

All Djanogly Academies will be confident in the graduated response and early identification of needs. They will demonstrate effective adaptation of the curriculum across all subjects to ensure high levels of pupil engagement and positive behaviour.

Interventions and support will be put in place at the earliest opportunity, ensuring that the needs of all learners are met. The Djanogly SEND offer will provide tailored support to address the diverse requirements of our pupils.

Inclusive Curriculum

Academies will offer a broad and ambitious curriculum for SEND pupils, with appropriate support and interventions. Robust monitoring and tracking systems will inform provision, enabling SEND pupils to make good progress.

Effective Identification

Highly effective identification of needs will ensure that schools can provide tailored provision and curriculums to improve outcomes for all learners, including our most complex SEND pupils.

Recognised Inclusive Practice

DLT will be recognised for its inclusive practice, especially in meeting the needs of the most complex learners. Specialist support will be readily available within the Trust or commissioned as needed.

A personalised curriculum with high expectations will be provided for all learners, catering to their unique needs and enabling them to reach their full potential.

Specialised Provision

DLT has researched and considered opportunities for enhanced and specialist provision to support our most high-need SEND pupils, ensuring they receive the tailored support they require.

DLT will support schools with funding bids, and the strategic use of resources to ensure the best possible outcomes for SEND pupils.

Coaching & Mentoring

DLT will provide coaching and mentoring to staff to support the development of inclusive practices and the SEND offer.

Developing Trust-wide Expertise

Specialist Support

Academies will be able to refer and access specialist support, such as speech and language therapy, educational psychology, and behaviour support, when needed to meet the diverse needs of their learners.

Data-driven Approach

The Trust will analyse and evaluate data to identify patterns and trends, ensuring that all pupils are making progress. This will inform the provision of targeted training and interventions to drive improvement.

Consistent Practices

DLT will work with Academies to establish consistent processes and procedures, such as agreed identification methods, assessment systems, and intervention strategies, ensuring a cohesive and effective SEND offer across the Trust.

Collaborative Networks

DLT will facilitate the development of collaborative networks and communities of practice, enabling the sharing of expertise, best practices, and innovative approaches to supporting SEND pupils across the Djanogly Academies.
